These two pictures are both from the city of Leeds Remembrance memorial service and parade.
I did not realise it until after I had taken these photographs but this will be the last time the crew of HMS Ark Royal visit Leeds. The aircraft carrier will be decommissioned by the end of the year, this being part of the recent defence cuts, sorry review. Just announced on the BBC, Ark Royal will berth in North Shields on Friday for the five-day farewell visit. If anyone from Leeds wants to catch a final look at the Ark Royal this will be the nearest and last chance.
